WHAT IS THE EQUISYSTEM?
Developed in New Zealand by Vicki Wilson, the Equisystem Training Bandage is a unique elastic schooling and rehabilitation tool designed to encourage horses to engage their hindquarters, lift through their core and withers, and stretch forward into the contact - without any fixed pressure or physical force.
In Vicki’s words, it “reminds the horse how to use its engine”, cueing the neuromuscular system and encouraging the horse to carry itself naturally.
A must-have for every stable, the Equisystem is versatile enough for any stage of training - from flatwork to hacking, and from young break-ins through to Grand Prix show jumpers. Made using high-quality elastic imported from Germany, it is a worthwhile addition to any training programme.

VICKI'S STORY
Vicki is an internationally recognised New Zealand show jumper, horse trainer, and educator. Vicki has competed at World Cup level (1.60m), represented New Zealand internationally, and is a two-time World Champion Colt Starter at the prestigious Road to the Horse competition in 2017 and 2018. Beyond the arena, Vicki is renowned for her work training wild horses including Kaimanawas, Brumbies, and Mustangs, as well as her impressive bareback and bridleless demonstrations. Based in Hawke’s Bay, she breeds, trains, and rehabilitates horses through a holistic approach focused on trust, confidence, and wellbeing. Through her internationally recognised Sore Horse Workshops and unique equine therapy methods, Vicki helps horses overcome pain and behavioural challenges while educating owners on creating happier, healthier partnerships with their horses.
